Mastering Work at Height: Safety, Regulations, and Risk Management
This Working at Height course is designed for individuals who engage in work at height or employ individuals who frequently work at elevated positions. The term “work at height” encompasses various scenarios, ranging from obvious ones like working on platforms, ladders, scaffolds, or stages, to working near deep trenches. It is important to understand that work at height is not solely about how high you climb, but rather the potential distance you can fall. “Falls” not only refer to individuals falling from heights; it also includes the risk of materials or equipment falling and posing a hazard to those below.
All situations involving work at height are subject to health and safety regulations, with the Work at Height Regulations 2005 being the primary legislative framework. These regulations impose legal obligations on employers and employees to assess, control, and minimize risks associated with work at height. This comprehensive course covers a wide range of topics, including the hazards of working at height, the regulations themselves, the hierarchy of controls, risk assessment, and more.
It is important to note that this course serves as an awareness program only. If your responsibilities involve work at height, additional practical training is necessary. Feel free to contact us to arrange further training.
