According to the Health and Safety Executive, work-related stress occurs when individuals struggle to cope with the demands placed upon them. While these demands can stem from various aspects of life, they often originate from pressures at work. Although certain professions may be more susceptible to stress, it can affect anyone and have detrimental effects on their health, ability to perform effectively both at work and at home, and relationships. This course aims to provide an introduction to stress and its implications, delve into the causes of stress, and provide strategies to minimise its risks.
