Comprehensive Asbestos Awareness Training: Mitigating the Risks, Protecting Lives
Asbestos, undoubtedly, stands as one of the most perilous building materials ever employed. Each year, countless individuals suffer and lose their lives due to asbestos exposure, even though it remained extensively used by the construction industry until the turn of the millennium in 2000.
The Control of Asbestos Regulations (CAR) are applicable to employers, employees, self-employed individuals, and duty holders. These regulations encompass all activities involving asbestos-containing materials. Regulation 10 of CAR stipulates that every employer has the responsibility to ensure that employees who may be exposed to asbestos receive sufficient information, instruction, and training. This requirement extends to maintenance workers and other individuals who may come into contact with or disturb asbestos.
In addition to educating candidates about the hazards associated with asbestos, the course will provide them with knowledge on identifying asbestos-containing materials, understanding its usage, implementing measures to mitigate risks, and discussing relevant legislation pertaining to asbestos work.
Every module concludes with a set of multiple-choice questions. To successfully complete the course, candidates must achieve a perfect score of 100% on these tests. Before submitting their answers, they have the chance to review all of them at the end of each module. Moreover, they are granted three attempts to attain the desired outcome.
