As an Environmental Consultant, you will be helping companies and organisations meet their environmental objectives. About you
You may have specific experience in one particular area (E.g. Ecology, environmental permitting, waste management & recycling, materials classification and management, carbon management, planning) or looking to build on or specialise in a particular field.

Your new role
As an Environmental Consultant – you will be a key asset to both SMEs and large organisations by assisting them in comprehending their environmental commitments, evaluating the extent to which they meet these obligations and reviewing their overall performance.
To help you confidently adapt and problem-solve, we have established various support teams. Among others – these include compliance, health and safety, administration and sales. Together, we work as a team to reach our goals. In addition to your support crew, you will also have access to a variety of software and systems. Asana, MyCompliance and PeopleHR to name but a few. All are designed with the goal of assisting you in project management, compliance and monitoring.
Day-to-day, you will be using our support systems to help you work towards your goals. Some of the tasks you will be undertaking as an Environmental Consultant will include:
- Provide technical expertise and guidance on environmental permitting and resource planning.
- Set the bar high and showcase exceptional professionalism in all client interactions, service delivery and quality of work.
- Confidently discuss environmental matters with peers, clients, subcontractors and regulators. This includes using interpersonal and active listening skills to build and maintain healthy relationships.
- Represent your clients with diligence and professionalism when communicating with industry regulators. Such as the Environment Agency, Health and Safety Executive and Local Authority Officers.

Mandatory
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, engineering or equivalent.
- 3+ years of experience of working or volunteering in a related field.
- Full driving licence.
Desired
- Master’s degree in environmental science, engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years practical experience within the waste, construction or renewable energy industries.
- Experience of working with PV design and installation.
- Regulatory experience.
- Membership of CIWM, IEMA or relevant professional body.

- Salary range is £30,000 – £42,000, and will reflect the knowledge, skills and experience which you can bring to Wiser Environment.
