Your new role
As a Business Support Administrator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our consultancy team. Your responsibilities will include managing daily office tasks, providing analytical support to enhance decision-making and ensuring that our technical reports meet the highest standards. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working behind the scenes to support a team dedicated to delivering high-quality environmental services.
To help you confidently adapt and problem-solve, we have established various support teams. Among others – these include compliance, health and safety, administration and sales. Together, we work as a team to reach our goals. In addition to your support crew, you will also have access to a variety of software and systems. Asana, MyCompliance and PeopleHR to name but a few.
Day-to-day, you will be using our support systems to help you work towards your goals. Some of the tasks you will be undertaking as a Business Support Administrator will include:
- Analytical Support: Review and analyse time entries, project budgets and KPIs to provide actionable insights to team leaders.
- Report Management: Ensure all technical reports are formatted and bound according to our branding guidelines, maintaining a high standard of presentation.
- Office Management: Handle daily administrative tasks efficiently, from document management to meeting coordination.
- Training and Support: Coordinate and deliver training on our internal systems, ensuring all team members are proficient with our software and tools.
- Client and Stakeholder Engagement: Assist in maintaining positive relationships with clients and subcontractors, ensuring smooth operations and high-quality service delivery.

Delivers information to others using the appropriate communication method. Actively listens and checks to ensure their communication and others understanding is consistent.

Business Awareness

Mandatory
- Level 4 NVQ Diploma in Business Administration or equivalent.
- 2+ years’ experience in an administrative or support role.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and PowerPoint.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic understanding of financial principles, including budgeting and KPI analysis.
Desired
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or equivalent.
- Certification in Business Analysis or Project Management (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP).
- Experience in an environmental consultancy or similar sector.
- Intermediate understanding of project management systems (e.g., Asana).
- Advanced Excel skills, including the ability to perform data analysis and create complex reports.
