Phuong is a results-oriented Environmental & Social Consultant at Wiser Environment, with a strong background in sustainable finance, project delivery and client relationship management. With a Master’s degree in Sustainable Finance from UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School, she brings a well-rounded perspective to sustainability projects, combining environmental understanding with financial insight.
Phuong’s experience spans climate action planning, ESG reporting and E&S due diligence. She has delivered work for international clients including the Asian Development Bank and Seureca, contributing to low-carbon initiatives and circular economy development in Vietnam. Digital Solution for Plastic Waste Pollution
Phuong played an integral role in delivering Seureca’s pilot project to explore digital solutions for plastic waste management in Vietnam. She supported the screening and selection of suitable technologies and developed targeted surveys to guide the piloting process. Her involvement included site visits, client engagement and stakeholder coordination, contributing valuable insights throughout the assessment. Phuong’s dedication and attention to detail were instrumental in shaping the final digital maturity assessment and ensuring successful project outcomes.
LTA Consultant for PET Recycling deals in Vietnam
This strategic project supports the development of Vietnam’s circular economy by tackling plastic pollution through PET recycling initiatives. As part of the long-term advisory team, Phuong conducted detailed research into recycled PET (rPET) feedstock availability and the associated machinery systems required for plant design. She also contributed to the assessment of regulatory compliance, ensuring alignment with both Vietnam’s environmental, health and safety (EHS) legislation and international food-grade rPET standards. Her work provided critical technical inputs to support sustainable infrastructure development in the region
Sustainability Project Manager
As part of the Community Climate Action Programme in Kerry and Cork, Phuong worked with rural communities to deliver sustainability initiatives focused on energy efficiency. Her role involved overseeing project budgets, coordinating with local stakeholders, and supporting improvements in insulation, lighting and heating systems. Phuong also contributed to the Built Low Carbon Communities initiative, helping small settlements adopt practical, low-emission solutions. This hands-on experience strengthened her project management and community engagement skills within the European sustainability context.
